2023 Undivided
Teach me your way, LORD, that I may rely on your faithfulness;
give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.
Psalm 86:11 (NIV)
give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.
Psalm 86:11 (NIV)
It’s easy to be a Sunday morning Christian. We can set aside a few hours every week to go to a building, see our friends, and learn about God. But then after Sunday morning, all our worries and anxieties about life come flooding back in. We worry about what others think of us, whether our grades are good enough, and grasp desperately for happiness as we live in this broken world. Sometimes, it’s easy for us to forget about God when it isn’t Sunday morning. However, pursuing God isn’t meant just for Sunday mornings. Instead, following Jesus is meant to touch every area of our lives.
In the Old Testament, God didn’t seek the people who grew the most crops, the people who were the smartest, or the people who had the most money. Abraham was called God’s friend because he trusted in God’s promises. What God wanted from Israel wasn’t for the nation to prove herself, but rather her undivided heart. That’s what God wants from us today. We should still be good students, and it’s okay to have fun. But as we study and have fun, do we seek to imitate Christ in our relationships with our parents, friends, and teachers? Or is God more of an afterthought who just belongs on Sunday mornings?
Instead of having a Sunday morning self, a school self, and a home self, our hope is that students will pursue God with an undivided heart. We hope they will find that there is nothing better than wholeheartedly following Jesus and trusting Him as we engage in every aspect of our lives.

DCCYC is held at Lakeview Baptist Assembly, Lone Star, Texas
Who We AreDCCYC is a Christian camp serving our youth among the Chinese churches in the DFW Metroplex. We serve students from incoming 7th grade to high school Seniors going off to college each summer. Campers get to be themselves and develop deep friendships with their peers and counselors, all the while being encouraged to explore faith and God.

Our HistoryDCCYC started in the 1980s by two Chinese churches and grew to more than 10 churches in the DFW Metroplex area. Each church has its representative in the board. The board meets each month to prepare for camp. The Camp Director is rotated among the board members each year.
