Theme Overview
To be face-to-face is to come close enough to see clearly, be known fully, and be changed deeply. To not hide parts of our life but to be honest with our whole life.
Throughout Scripture, people who encounter God face-to-face are never the same. Moses met with God on the mountain and his face reflected God’s glory. The disciples walked face-to-face with Jesus and were transformed by His love, truth, and grace. Many others whom encountered Jesus found freedom In 2 Corinthians 3:18, Paul tells us that as we behold the Lord with unveiled faces, we are transformed into His likeness.
This is the heart of our camp theme: helping students be face to face with God, others, and themselves. We become what we behold. Growing in our walk with God is not primarily a byproduct of ‘trying harder’ but rather beholding him - being transformed from the inside out as we engage him.
We were made for this kind of closeness—not just to know about God, but to know Him personally, to come face-to-face with His beauty, truth, and love.
